Simple Gravy
Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp fat Oil, Butter, Ghee, etc.
- 3 Tbsp All-Purpose Flour
- 3 cups Stock Chicken, beef, turkey, etc.
Instructions
- In a stainless steel pan (stainless is more conducive to browning), melt the fat. Next, add the flour. Cook the flour until it changes to a light gold color. NOTE: Do NOT rush this otherwise you run the risk of burning the flour.
- Once you have achieved the desired color, using a whisk and stirring as you pour, add the liquid. You may turn up the heat to bring the gravy to a boil. Add more liquid as needed to get the consistency you want, but don't add too quickly. The mixture will thicken once it boils.
